Course Description
This course is the foundation course for all other computer programming courses. It introduces students to programming concepts and develops analytical and problem solving skills. This course is a must for students interested in the fields of science, engineering, mathematics, and computer science, but also recommended for ALL students as the analytical and problem solving skills are utilized in all careers. Students are in the computer lab at all times and work on an independent or structured basis, depending upon their skills and interests. Lectures and demonstrations are used to introduce new concepts, but students spend the majority of the time programming. The languages used are: BASIC (QB64) and Visual Basic 2010. Topics will include: data types, control structures, loops, subroutines, library and user defined functions, and graphics. NCAA approved. |

College Prep Algebra I A or B (or currently enrolled in College Prep Algebra IA or IB) |
Course Notes
This course fulfills the Computer (Information and Communication Technologies) 0.5 Graduation Requirement.
This course fulfills the four year math experience NH DOE Minimum Standards for Public School requirement. The course, however, does not fulfill the 3 credit math graduation requirement. |
